Learning Environment
A variety of excellent meeting spaces are available at Nipissing University, ranging from flat-floored classrooms to tiered ampitheatre style space with ergonomic seating. We have ampitheatres that seat up to 50 people as well as the Vittorio Fedeli Business Centre that seats 120 people. The Nipissing University theatre, home to Nipissing Stage Company in the summer offers seating for 222 people. For trade shows or large plenary sessions, the Education Centre Gym or the R.J. Surtees Gym are available.
All meeting space is equipped with an audiovisual package including white/blackboards, screens, data projector and VCR. Many of our amphitheatres have built-in media equipment including LCD projector, screen and DVD player that are included in the cost of the room rental. All of our meeting facilities are fully air-conditioned and are available on a year-round basis, pending our academic schedule.
Learning Technology
Our audiovisual department can provide equipment such as film projectors, 25mm slide projectors, wired or wireless microphones, and flipcharts, etc. Please let us know what additional equipment will be required so we can arrange to have it placed in your meeting facility prior to your event.
Conference Services offers a number of technological services to help ensure a successful conference. These services include photocopying, faxing, print services and Internet access. If you have any audiovisual or technological needs, ask at the Conference Office and we will do our best to assist you.
