For the fourth time in as many years, pink is in for the Nipissing Lakers Men’s Hockey team. The team will be donning bright pink jerseys in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure in their first home game of the pre-season versus the UOIT Ridgebacks, Friday, September 14, at Memorial Gardens at 7p.m. 

Nipissing’s Common Book Common Ground program returns this year with Feed by M.T. Anderson. Feed, a young adult novel, tells the story of a futuristic Earth in which internet connectivity is fed directly into peoples' brains, while a group of teenagers cope with connection to and disconnection from their society
