Lakers hockey welcome Jacob Conrad

The Nipissing Lakers men's hockey team is pleased to announce the commitment of Jacob Conrad to attend Nipissing and compete for the Lakers in September 2013.Conrad, a 5 foot-11 inch 190 pound winger, hails from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. He tallied 25 goals and 25 assists in 47 games last season. Previously, Conrad played three seasons with the Gatineau Olympique of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
"I am very happy to commit to Nipissing and looking forward to studying business,” said Conrad. “I also look forward to playing an important part for the Lakers hockey team and contributing to their successes."
Mike McParland, head coach of the Lakers men’s team, is excited to have a commitment from Conrad, comparing him to current Laker Matt Paton, who has become one of the Lakers core players.
