Nipissing alumna named Young Professional of the Year
Nipissing alumna and Executive Assistant, External Relationships and Strategic Initiatives in the Office of the President, Maggie Daniel, was recently recognized by the North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce as Young Professional of the Year.
The annual Bell Evening of Excellence Awards was held virtually this year during Business Week 2020 and celebrated businesses, non-profit organization and individuals throughout the region who have demonstrated leadership, community involvement and success.
Maggie graduated from Nipissing University with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree, majoring in Political Science and History. She began working at the University in 2014, starting as a Recruitment Officer, and has since gone on to work in administrative roles in the Office of the President.
“I am honoured to be recognized as the Young Professional of the Year by the North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce. North Bay is my home and I am proud that I have been able to live, learn and have an impact in my community,” said Maggie. “I credit my decision to attend Nipissing University ten years ago as an important moment in my life and how both my student and work experience helped shape me into the person I am today. I am truly grateful to be a Laker and I am excited to continue to help create more opportunities for the next generation to become involved in our community.”
