Kindra currently holds the position of Criminal Justice Advisor/Placement Officer with the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice. In this position, she coordinates and oversees placements with community criminal justice partners. She also supervises students employed by the Institute for Applied research who conduct field research and enter and analyze data. As an undergraduate student working with the IASR, as well as in her supervisory role with the Criminal Justice program, Kindra has conducted research with local police services, the Ontario Provincial Police and with the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services. She has had the opportunity to conduct field research in 12 different Provincial Correctional facilities, interviewing over 500 male and female offenders.

In addition to administrative and research duties, Kindra also holds the role of part-time instructor for the department, most recently teaching Introduction to Criminology and the Senior Seminar in Professional Development for Criminal Justice students.
