About
Dr. Douglas Gosse is bilingual in English and French, and has taught early childhood education, elementary, junior high, and high school, as well as adult learners. Dr. Gosse received the Nipissing University Research Achievement Award, and a Gold Volunteer Service Award from the Historica Foundation. The Governor-General of Canada has recognized him for teaching excellence. As a Professor in the Schulich School of Education, his research on curriculum development, social justice and equity, and arts-based research has resulted in over two hundred journal, professional magazine and newspaper articles, book chapters, conference presentations, workshops, curriculum resources, reports, invited lectures, and several acclaimed books. Dr. Gosse serve on the Council of the Ontario College of Teachers and as Vice-Chair, Selection and Nominating Subcommittee.
