Steven completed his BSW at Laurentian University and his MSW at the University of Windsor. Steven has provided services to individuals, families and groups in a number of capacities throughout his career. Currently, Steven works as a Social Worker with the Near North District School Board providing services to students and families (more recently through a virtual model). Through the provision of Social Work services, Steven provides treatment using evidence-based models such as Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy. In addition to individual and family work, he has significant training in group facilitation including: SNAP (Stop Now and Plan); Triple P (Positive Parenting Program); Anxiety programs such as the Coping Cat model; and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy. Steven has extensive experience as a Youth Counsellor and Child and Family Therapist with Child and Youth Mental Health Agencies. This includes both individual, group, and family counselling, working with youth in conflict with the law through the Intensive Support and Supervision Program, home-based work with families, School-based services, Restorative Justice and services through treatment facilities.
