Nipissing University welcomes Dr. Derek Pratt, professor of Chemistry at the University of Ottawa, to campus for a special lecture, titled Free Radical Oxidation and its Inhibition: Taking the Battle from Fossil Fuel-Derived Products to Living Matter onFriday, October 21 at 3:30 p.m. in room A226.

On September 14, 1944, Kenneth Donald Duncanson was killed during intense fighting in Belgium during WWII. The Algonquin Regiment, to which he belonged was forced to retreat and in the chaos, Duncanson’s body was left in the Belgian field where he fell. Duncanson’s body remained lost until November 2014, when a hobbyist discovered his remains using a metal detector.

Anthony Rota, Member of Parliament for Nipissing – Timiskaming, was on campus yesterday to announce a $962,500 investment at Nipissing University. Rota made the joint federal-provincial investment announcement on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development.
