Secondment Guidelines

  1. Secondments are engaged by contract between the University and a School Board or other agencies. The contract must be signed by the President or in his absence, the Vice-President, Finance and Administration.
  2. Secondments for a period of fewer than twelve months are non-voting members of the Academic Senate.
  3. Secondment contracts shall not include administrative stipends where the secondee is a school administrator.
  4. Secondment workloads will be calculated on a different formula from which is used to calculate the workload for regular faculty.
  5. Secondments will be entitled to the travel allowances provided to regular full-time faculty.
  6. Authorized travel expenses will be paid in accordance with the travel regulations of the University.
  7. Secondments will be entitled to a moving allowance as outlined in the Offer of Appointment letter.
