New summer camp on Muskoka campus

Nipissing University is pleased to announce a new summer camp for high school students to experience cutting-edge learning tools not traditionally offered in their schools.The Mobile Experiential Leadership Development camp (MELD) is a two-week residential summer camp for students going into Grade 11 or 12 offered in partnership between Nipissing University and Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB), and hosted at Nipissing’s Muskoka campus in Bracebridge, Ontario.
Students participating in the camp each receive an iPad 2, and will use several other technology resources available at the Muskoka campus, including SMART Boards, Macbooks, student response clickers and more.
Camp-goers will participate in a three-day outdoor expedition at Wendigo Lake in South River. There they will be challenged to develop team building and problem solving skills while participating in environmental studies curricula.
The program runs from July 3 – 16. Registration closes June 20 at noon. Spaces are still available, but closing fast so register now!
Successful participants receive two credits: Grade 11 Social Science Credit (Leadership and Peer Support) from TLDSB, and UNIV1011 - University Success - from Nipissing University (upon admission to Nipissing University).
