Movember Zumba spectacular

As expected, the stars fell into alignment earlier this month and the City of North Bay was ground zero for an event mixing the spectacle of Cirque Du Soliel (if the acrobats all had moustaches) with the sheer funkadelicness of a retro boogie dance party…that’s right, Moustache Zumba was a hit.In the spirit of Movember, to raise funds and awareness for men’s health issues, the Studio hosted a Movember Zumba-fitness party featuring moustachioed men doing Zumba, the aerobic-dance fitness craze incorporating hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue, mambo, martial arts and squats and lunges.
Roughly 110 people participated and almost $1,200 was raised for Nipissing’s Movemebr team! The big night also featured the Lakers women’s and men’s hockey teams, Kevin and Big Mike from KISS FM, Mayor Al McDonald, Dr. Leckie and several husbands, boyfriends, and male students as well as great representation from the Studio.

The Studio is a Zumba Fitness studio located in downtown North Bay whose goal it is to help transform people inside and out. They offer Zumba fitness classes seven times a week at lunch and in the evenings and cater to the Zumba pros as well as the Zumba beginners. It is the Studio’s mission to make you love exercise, moustachioed or bare-lipped!
