Women’s volleyball drop to 0-2

Despite an improved effort and some more success from Friday night, the Nipissing Lakers women’s volleyball team ended up with the same results.The Lakers dropped a three set match to the powerful Guelph Gryphons Saturday to drop the Lakers to 0-2 early in the OUA season.
Friday night the Lakers looked tentative, but Saturday they came out stronger and played a much more complete game, unfortunately, the Gryphons were just too much.
The Lakers held leads in each set, but each time they did, Guelph was able to go on a run and catch up and eventually over take Nipissing and earn the set win.
Despite their tough weekend, the Lakers will work hard during the week and prepare for their upcoming road trip to Toronto, where they take on the University of Toronto and Ryerson.
They return home the first weekend of November.??
