Sexologist speaking on campus
With all the cold weather lately, Nipissing is especially pleased to help people get warmed up with a special lecture from renowned sexologist Dr. Justine Shuey, who will talk about sex, healthy relationships and consent today, Wednesday, March 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the Nipissing Theatre (F213).
Dr. Shuey is a Board Certified Sexologist who speaks at hundreds of college campuses, medical schools, hospitals, organizations and conferences all over the world. For years, Dr. Shuey has been presenting topics like sex, love, healthy relationships, communication and consent.
Dr. Shuey has always had a passion for human sexuality. She completed her bachelors degree with a minor in women and gender studies and was accepted to Widener University's masters in human sexuality education program before heading to San Francisco to complete a doctorate in human sexuality at the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality. Dr. Shuey is currently working towards a second doctorate degree in human sexuality from Widener University.
Dr. Shuey has been featured on the TV Show Amish Mafia and has been featured in HuffPost Live, Time Magazine, Women's Health Magazine, NY Daily News, Shape Magazine and GURL.com.
This talk is presented by the Nipissing University Student Union and Nipissing University Student Development and Services in order to educate students about sex, healthy relationships and consent.
