Dr. DeGagné earns honorary degree from Dalhousie

Congratulations to Nipissing University President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Mike DeGagné, who is being recognized with an honorary degree from Dalhousie University.
Dalhousie is celebrating 200 years of academic excellence and are marking that milestone by awarding a number of bicentennial honorary degrees at special ceremonies outside of the standard Convocation ceremonies.

The ceremony to honour Dr. DeGagné took place on February 5 and was the first of Dalhousie’s special ceremonies.  The event also featured a panel discussion on reconciliation in education.

Dr. DeGagné, who enjoys a longstanding relationship with Dalhousie, is being recognized for his dedication to justice and reconciliation as well as his commitment to education as a transformative force.
