AlumniNipissing University is honouring three exceptional individuals at the annual Alumni Awards celebration: Jennifer Conley (nee Seguin), Chief Advancement Officer and President and CEO of the Carleton University Foundation, is receiving the Dr. James Jamieson Influential Alumni Award; Annie Sumi, singer-songwriter and ethereal-folk artist, receives the Rising Star Alumni Award; and Dr. Matti Saari, Professor of Psychology, will be named an Honorary Alumni. -

ResearchGeography DepartmentNipissing University has been awarded a $100,000 grant from Grand Challenges Canada to help improve maternal, newborn and child health among South Sudanese Refugees and their host communities in Uganda. Dr. Odwa Atari, associate professor of geography, is the project lead on the grant-winning project. -

Geography student earns ESRI Canada GIS Scholarship
Geography DepartmentMy NipissingCongratulations to geography student Riley Cormier, who is the recipient of the 2018 ESRI Canada GIS Scholarship for Nipissing University.
Cormier moved to North Bay from Niagara Falls in 2010 to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Physical Geography at Nipissing University.
