Nipissing University was once again recognized for its high level of student satisfaction and leadership in the area of student services in the annual Maclean’s University Rankings. Nipissing ranked No. 1 in Canada for Student Services in the primarily undergraduate category.

Dr. Kristen Ferguson, associate professor in the Schulich School of Education at Nipissing, is leading a research team investigating stress, mental health and leaves of absence among teachers. The work is part of a large research project, the first interdisciplinary and collaborative research to study workplace mental health in Canada.

Students in Nipissing University's School of Business have a fantastic new resource available to help them learn and connect classroom theory to real world business settings. The university has appointed George Flumerfelt, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Redpath Group, as the inaugural Executive in Residence. Flumerfelt will serve as an important link between the classroom and boardroom by delivering guest lectures , mentoring students, and providing feedback on program development.
