Become a Tutor

Guidelines for Students who want to be Peer Tutors

In order to become a course tutor, you must have a minimum 75% overall average, as well as a minimum grade of 75% for the specific course(s) to be tutored.

If your application has been accepted, you will be invited to a selection process. If successful, Peer Tutors will then participate in a training program. Further to this, successful applicants must fill out appropriate student employment forms in the Human Resources office prior to being added to the active Peer Tutor roster. Peer Tutors will await requests for tutoring services (received via Nipissing University e-mail) from interested Tutees. If your application has not been accepted, the Student Learning Coordinator will discuss the decision in a meeting with you.

Please note that all correspondence from Student Learning and Transitions, including Peer Tutor information, will occur via your Nipissing University e-mail account.
