Parking Lot Safety Precautions For After Hours Parking
If you know you will be working later than 5:00 PM, it is advisable to follow these precautions:
- Park your car in a well-lit area of the parking lot, preferably under a street lamp.
- Move your car to a closer numbered parking lot after 5:00 PM. Parking tickets will not be issued after 5:00 PM as long as you have a valid parking permit and are parked in any numbered lot (excluding residence circle and the covered and uncovered courtyard parking lot).
- Use the buddy system when travelling to your car.
- Use the Campus Walk Service or call Security so you don’t walk alone.
