University Technology Services

Technology Services (UTS) is dedicated to assisting all members of the Nipissing University community make effective use of a wide range of information technologies. Highly skilled and customer service oriented staff ensure University members are able to optimize their academic and professional endeavours through the use of technology. Technology Services is located in A139.

Attention Graduates

All Nipissing University graduates retain access to MyNipissing, WebAdvisor and their student email account after graduation. 

2021-2022 Student Cards 

More information will be coming soon on the 2021-2022 student cards. 

Please note students can only pick up their own student card. Cards cannot be picked up by friends, family, roommates, etc. 

Student cards can be picked up at University Technology Services, A139. Please note it takes 2-3 business days to complete your request for a student card.

Distant Student Cards

If you are a distance student living outside of the North Bay area (over 50 km radius) and are NOT attending an onsite class at the North Bay campus, a student card is NOT REQUIRED to borrow books from our Harris Learning Library. Further information is available on the Harris Learning Library website found here

A student card is only required:

  • To access Nipissing University’s Harris Learning Library in person. 
  • To utilize the libraries at other universities in Ontario
  • To obtain student discounts where available

All student cards may be requested on an annual basis and expire at the end of August each year. (For example, if you request a student card in April it will expire in August of the same year).

Lost Student Cards

When a card is lost please check the following locations to determine if your student card has been found:

  • Technology Services (A139) 705-474-3450, ext. 4342
  • Campus Security (B203) 705-474-3450, ext. 5555
  • North Bay Transit, Lost & Found 705-474-0419
  • Residence/Athletics if you've been to one lately

If your card still has not been found then you can start the replacement process at the Finance Office in F216. You can complete the Student Card Replacement Form found here. Print this form and bring it with you to the Finance Office. 

Online Printing Service

The Campus Printing Service allows students and faculty to print most common documents to selected printers on campus. The web printing service is compatible with wireless networks. You do not need to install any print drivers to use this service.
