Position Title:                                     Research Assistant  - Political Science/Gender Equality and Social Justice

Employment Dates:                          June 1, 2026 – March 15, 2027

Hours of Work:                                 10 hours per week

Rate of Pay:                                        $17.99 per hour + Vacation pay as determined by HR policy

 

Job Description:              

The incumbent will assist with a research project on Indigenous-specific supports for sexual assault in Ontario.

Duties Include:

•           Research ethics

•           Research management (logistics, planning)

•           Literature review

•           Sharing circle note-taking and transcription

•           Research analysis

Minimum Qualifications:

•              Second year university completed

•              Proficient research skills

•              Strong organizational skills

•              Ability to be an independent worker and an active team member

•              Excellent communication skills

•              Ability to meet online and in-person

•              Some travel (day trips)

Preference is given to Indigenous students, students with an interest in Indigenous issues, and/or students with experience in Indigenist/decolonial methodologies.
