The School of Nursing has formed a number of partnerships with Ontario health care agencies that allow current RPN's the opportunity to study part-time towards a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. This program is offered through distance education and takes five years to complete.
Theory based courses are offered through online delivery, while practicum based courses are offered either within the health care agency that the student is employed by or one of our other partner agencies.

Upcoming Deadlines
You must be employed at one of our partner health care agencies to be eligible to apply for admission consideration. See the list of partners below.
Although students are required to be employed at a partner agency, this does not guarantee that you will be having placements at your own agency. We arrange the clinical placements as close to your home address as possible, however, students may be required to travel up to 100km for placements. There are some areas where students will be required to travel over 100km for placements. Locations marked with a * will require this additional travel.
If your employer has not developed a partnership with Nipissing University, but is interested in more information they can contact the School of Nursing, Nipissing University, e-mail nursing@nipissingu.ca or 705-474-3450 ext 4567.

The Record of Student Development (RSD) is Nipissing University's way of recognizing that learning is happening everywhere on campus. It is a formal record, otherwise known as a co-curricular transcript, where you can include workshops, volunteer experiences, awards, activities, and on campus employment experiences that you participate in throughout your degree.
