NU generously gives to other families this holiday season!

Nipissing University has had the opportunity to make a difference to some less fortunate families by giving them a happy holiday season again this year.  The Children’s Aid Society (CAS) of Nipissing and Parry Sound provided us with 15 families and two siblings in their care that needed our support.  These families include single parents with children, grandparents with children (kin families), children with special needs and children in the care of the CAS.  The generosity of Nipissing University will directly benefit and make an immediate difference in the lives of these families and children in need.What a great feeling it is to know that these children will wake up Christmas morning with smiles on their faces at the sight of the gifts they've received such as skates, stuffed toys, books, dolls, train sets and clothes.  Monetary donations in excess of $2,000 will also help provide a holiday dinner with all the fixings.
Several departments supported this initiative and include administrative staff, support staff and faculty throughout the university community.
