Dr. Dellandrea appointed President of Sunnybrook Foundation

A Message from President Lesley Lovett-Doust

Please join me in congratulating Dr. Jon Dellandrea, C.M., Chancellor of Nipissing University, on his recent appointment as the President of Sunnybrook Foundation!

Our Chancellor is an internationally renowned leader in the field of Development and we are proud to have him as part of the Nipissing family.

Dr. Dellandrea will continue in his volunteer role as Nipissing’s Chancellor, as we move forward with our Anniversary Celebrations and continue to build new opportunities for engagement in learning at Nipissing.

Dr. Dellandrea’s accomplishments include leading the University of Toronto’s $1-billion capital campaign as Vice-President and Chief Development Officer; in the role of Pro-Vice-Chancellor he also led Oxford University’s $2.5-billion campaign. He has held the positions of President of Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation and Vice-President, University Development at the University of Waterloo.  In 2001, he became the first Canadian to receive the Laureate Award of the Institute for Charitable Giving in the United States, and in 2006 he was appointed to the Order of Canada in recognition for his contributions to higher education.
