Lego Robotics at Nipissing

Nipissing University recently hosted Northern Ontario's first-ever Lego League showcase,  bringing together five teams of young Lego fanatics, members of Team 1305, the Near North Student Robotics Initiative (NNSRI), to put their creations, built with everyone’s favourite building blocks, on display. The event featured five teams presenting their creations. Also, the LEGO Robotics Club (LRC), NNSRI’s newest initiative for children aged 8 to 12, made its debut with three teams displaying the results of their 10 weeks of learning.

Attendees were also treated to NNSRI members from four area Near North District high schools and three intermediate schools demonstrating their VEX robotic creations for this year’s game, Sack Attack.
