Nipissing welcomes Cooke for straight talk on insurance

Nipissing University and the North Bay and Area Insurance Brokers Association welcome distinguished Canadian business leader George L. Cooke to campus for a presentation on Thursday, January 26 from noon – 2 p.m. Cooke is president and CEO of The Dominion, one of Canada’s largest property and casualty insurers.More information on The Dominion can be found here.

Titled Straight Talk about Property and Casualty Insurance in Canada 2012, Cooke’s presentation will discuss three new realities:A fragile global economy vs. a solid Canadian financial systemIncreasing claims costs vs. increasingly price conscience consumersAn aging workforce vs. opportunities for students
The presentation takes place at Chancellor’s House residence (900 Gormanville Road).

The cost is $20 per person; $10 per student or $150 per table. Parking at Chancellor’s House is free.
