NUSA spirit takes home award

The Nipissing University Student Ambassadors (NUSA) recently brought home the coveted Most Spirited School Award from CASE ASAP District II Conference held in Indiana, Pennsylvania.The team, which included eight NUSA members and two staff advisors, travelled to Indiana University of Pennsylvania to attend the student ambassador conference on March 2 and 3. The student team was comprised of Alicia Mossington, Shannen Larocque, Hilary Schick, Rebecca Hazelwood, Emily Usher, Diane Brownlee, Sara Taylor, Crystal McLeod. Laurie Purtell and Trina Prince made up the staff advisor contingent.
The Nipissing group was one of only two Canadian schools to attend, and they represented their university very well. NUSA kicked off the conference with a dance and cheer during opening roll call. For the rest of the conference, the Nipissing team continued to make an impression by leading several cheers and chants. The NUSA crew went out of their way to meet the other schools and all were very eager to learn about other events and techniques. This was the first time any of the students had attended a CASE ASAP conference.
The entire weekend was a great experience and NUSA looks forward to attending again next year.
