Onley new VP, Finance and Administration at Nipissing
Nipissing is pleased to welcome Richard Onley to theuniversity as vice-president, finance and administration. His five-year term
began on September 12, 2012.
Onley was appointed to the position by the search committee
for the vice-president, finance and administration following a three month
search.
He brings over 25 years of experience as a Chartered
Accountant working successfully in private practice with a diverse group of
public and private corporations and many not-for-profit organizations. Onley
began his career at the international firm of Deloitte Chartered Accountants
and subsequently worked as the director of financial planning, reporting and
administration for Scott’s Food Service before starting his own regional
practice. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Trent University
and a Chartered Accountancy designation from the Ontario Institute of Chartered
Accountants.
As a member of Nipissing University’s Board of Governors
since 2011, Onley also brings familiarity with the opportunities and challenges
specific to Nipissing and the university sector.

relations expertise to our team and is very familiar with the economic context
and fabric of Northeastern Ontario,” said Vicky Paine-Mantha, Nipissing’s
interim president and vice-chancellor.

collaborative partnerships will help Nipissing succeed.”

goals.
