Ray Zahab stars in TEDxNipissingU Talk
Following the success of the recent TEDxNipissingU Talks, held at Nipissing’s Muskoka campus on March 8, NU News is proud to announce that for the next few weeks, we will feature some of the speakers who presented.Today’s NU News featured TEDxNipissingU Talk is:Ray Zahab - Making the impossible Possible
Ray Zahab is a former pack-a-day smoker turned ultramarathoner, world record holder, founder of impossible2Possible, and an internationally renowned public speaker. Ray has gone on numerous expeditions through the most extreme parts of the world and was the subject of the documentary “Running the Sahara”, produced by Matt Damon and directed by Academy Award winner James Moll. Ray's TEDxNipissingU Talk (given from the Andes during one of his expeditions) discusses the need for adventure and adventurers that make the impossible Possible.
The inaugural TEDxNipissingU event featured 12 live speakers, including Nipissing University faculty members Dr. Peter Nosko, Ken Stange and Renee Valiquette, as well as staffer Alexandra Archibald. Each speaker presented a short talk on their interpretation of the theme “What’s Possible”.
