Thank you to the Retired Teachers of Ontario Nipissing District 43
Nipissing University interim president and vice-chancellor, Vicky Paine-Mantha, recently had the opportunity to thank the Retired Teachers of Ontario (RTO/ERO) Nipissing District 43 for their ongoing support of Nipissing University’s scholarships, bursaries and awards program.The group has been supporting Nipissing for four years. They are responsible for an annual $500 scholarship awarded to a student graduating from the Intermediate/Senior division of the Bachelor of Education program with a minimum average of 80 per cent who has demonstrated exemplary skills in classroom practices.
The RTO/ERO has a mandate to provide excellent programs and services for teachers, school and board administrators, educational support staff and college and university faculty in retirement.
RTO/ERO Nipissing District 43 had representation from president Joyce Boston, secretary Sydney Ouellette, Past President Martha Kennedy, First Vice-President Doug Bolger, and Chair of Project Service to Others Brenda Robertson. Nipissing representatives included Paine-Mantha, and students Meaghan Cromie and Erin Clark.?
