Chippewa takes 2013 Nipissing Business Challenge
Students from Chippewa Intermediate and Secondary School displayed their marketing chops at the 2013 Nipissing Business Challenge on December 5, and walked away with the coveted cup.
Approximately 35 students representing four area high schools were on campus vying for the Nipissing Business Challenge title. Teams from Chippewa, West Ferris Intermediate and Secondary School, St. Joseph Scollard Hall and Widdifield Secondary School all took part.
When the dust had settled at the end, a duo from Chippewa edged out the competition.
This year's case considered a company in Jamaica, which Nipissing students and faculty visit annually as part of the iLead expedition, and their efforts to sell land and estates. Competing High School students were required to create a promotional campaign for the company and present it to various Nipissing School of Business faculty and administration.
Each member of the winning team will receive $500 in non-transferable tuition credits to Nipissing University to help them continue their business education locally.
