Programs and people bring home awards
Nipissing’s RPN to BScN Blended Learning program recently earned an Award for Program Excellence at the annual conference of the Canadian Association for University Continuing Education.Wenda Caswell, of the School of Nursing, and Lorraine Carter, from the Centre for Flexible Teaching and Learning and School of Nursing, were on hand at the conference in Montreal to accept the award. The competition is a national peer reviewed annual event and honours programs across Canada that are unique, innovative, and making a difference.While there, Carter also received the Distinguished Researcher Award in recognition of her long-term and sustained contributions to university continuing education research in Canada. Carter is the President-Elect for CAUCE 2014 and has longstanding involvement in the CAUCE research culture and program.
