Best paper Award to Hersemeyer and Hemsworth
Congratulations to Heather Hersemeyer and Dr. David Hemsworth, on winning the Best Paper Award at the Organizational Theory Division of the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada (ASAC) 2014 Conference.Hersemeyer, a PhD candidate and Nipissing’s senior manager, technology and print services, and Hemsworth, professor in the School of Business, earned the award for their paper Determining the Impact of Relations on the Unity and Diversity Paradox within Interorganizational Networks: A Structural Model.
The paper highlights an empirical study the two conducted on the effects of network relations on network unity and diversity within an interorganizational network setting through the lens of the Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs) in Ontario. Findings indicate that interorganizational network relations directly impact both unity and diversity within these settings while unity and diversity remain unique and unrelated constructs.
The dynamic Nipissing duo will receive their award at the upcoming ASAC 2014 conference, hosted by Nipissing University May 10 to 13, at Deerhurst Resort in Muskoka.
The theme for the 2014 conference is Sustainability and Innovation in Work and Leisure.
