Award for Nipissing Brantford student

Congratulations to Emily Runstedler, concurrent education student at Nipissing Brantford, on earning the Joseph W. Atkinson Scholarship of Excellence in Teacher Education from the Ontario College of Teachers.
An exemplary student who has made the Dean’s honour roll for four consecutive years, Runstedler also works with elementary school students who are struggling with reading, teaches English to new Canadians, and coaches volleyball and basketball.

The Joseph W. Atkinson Scholarship is named in honour of the College’s second registrar. An award of $2,000 is made annually to one student. Candidates must achieve outstanding academic achievement while demonstrating a high level of preparedness for teacher education.
