Dr. Noel book up for provincial award

Congratulations to Dr. Francoise Noel, whose book,Nipissing: Historic Waterway, Wilderness, Playground (Dundurn Press), has been shortlisted for the Speaker’s Book Award.
The annual award, now in its fourth year, recognizes outstanding Ontario writers of non-fiction books and Ontario’s publishing industry.  It was created by MPP Dave Levac and Graham Murray, of the political consulting firm G.P. Murray Research Ltd.

The winner will be announced on Monday, March 14 at a ceremony and reception at Queen’s Park.

Previous winners include Steve Paikin, Charlie Angus and Heather Robertson.
