New design and features for Record of Student Development

Nipissing has introduced a sleek, more user-friendly portal providing students greater control in engaging with their Record of Student Development.
The Record of Student Development is similar to an academic transcript, noting co-curricular involvement and outcomes instead of information about courses and grades. Research that shows co-curricular involvement has academic benefits for students.  Nipissing’s program is designed to have students reflect on the learning that takes place outside the classroom, offering a deeper understanding of the learning that took place.

The new system allows students more control over their Record of Student Development and the ability to make changes and edits to their record on their own.

Students can access the new portal atrsd.nipissingu.ca or through My Nipissing, under Services there is a tab for the Record of Student Development.  They will register for their record when they initially log in to the portal, and can start adding activities they've participated in immediately. The new portal features a Browse Activities option that allows students to see different involvement opportunities on campus and in the community and how to participate in those opportunities.  There is also a Filter By Needed Outcomes option, so students can see only activities that have the involvement outcomes they've yet to acquire.
