Dr. Pitt discusses Indigenous culture and the rocks

Dr. Jonathan Pitt, instructor in the Schulich School of Education's Aboriginal Education Programs, recently lent his expertise to an article by Bill Steer aka "Back Roads Bill" focused on Indigenous culture, examining some special spiritual places in Northern Ontario and looking at the spirituality of  rock and vistas.
The article appeared in the North Bay Nugget’s Community Voices section on October 26. 

In it, Pitt talks about the deep spirituality places like Dreamer’s Rock, Spirit Rock and Maple Mountain possess, as well as the history of Indigenous use of those sites in spiritual practice.
