New Multi-Faith Space opening on campus
With an increasingly diverse community studying and working at Nipissing, the university has developed the Multi-Faith Space, offering an inclusive space on campus for people to practice all religions. The Multi-Faith Space, located in room H340, is hosting a grand opening on Thursday, March 23, from 10 – 11:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend.
The new space offers a safe place for meditation, reflection, prayer or other religious practices. The purposeful absence of any religious icons, symbols, or resources creates a neutral environment so individuals can use the space as a safe and comfortable place for prayer, meditation and reflection.
Anyone using the space is asked to read and respect the Rules and Guidelines posted inside of the room in order to respect the space and the individuals utilizing it.
The Multi-Faith Space was created thanks to funding provided by the Office of Student Development and Services.
