Over $20,000 raised for students

Nipissing’s Annual Giving program raised more than $20,000 in cash and pledges for student scholarships, bursaries and awards during this year’s campaign. The campaign is an organized effort to secure annual, ongoing philanthropic support for Nipissing University. It provides Nipissing University alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends the opportunity to support the university.

This year, the Annual Fund Call Campaign ran from October to April with the help of 11 student callers who were hired to help us reach our alumni. These students engaged in conversation with our alumni, updated contact information and solicited donations.

Additionally, they conducted a lost alumni campaign to reconnect with alumni whose contact information is out of date. As the end of this year’s campaign was approaching, the student callers conducted a thank-a-thon campaign to thank those who had donated this year.

Their reach was dramatic; over 38,000 calls were made as part of the solicitation, lost alumni and thank-a-thon campaigns.
