Support students by eating dinner
Here’s a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a nice dinner and a fun night out while providing financial help for students. The Nipissing University Student Union (NUSU) is hosting a dinner at Shoeless Joes Sports Grill (850 McKeown Ave) with all proceeds supporting a new scholarship for students. The dinner takes place on February 26 from 6 – 8 p.m. Tickets cost just $20 and include your meal. They are available from the NUSU office (F205).
All proceeds raised will go to the endowment fund supporting NUSU scholarships. NUSU currently offers six scholarships for students and are looking to increase their endowment fund in order to do more for students.
“We know how important financial support can be for students and we want to help as much as we can,” said Jordan Dempster, NUSU vice-president governance and legal affairs. “We’ve got a number of other initiatives planned over the month to raise funds. This dinner is a great opportunity for people to have a great night out, and enjoy a free meal, with only a $20 donation.”
