Book fair on campus this week
Students in the Schulich School of Education are leveraging a love of literacy to help two local charities with a Book fair.
The Scholastic Book Fair takes place Wednesday, April 4, from 11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.; and Thursday, April 5, from 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. in room H109.
Organized by Junior/Intermediate Social Studies Bachelor of Education students with the help ofDr. Kristen Ferguson, associate professor, all proceeds from the Book Fair will support the North Bay Regional Health Centre and the Crisis Centre.
With hundreds of books for all reading levels on offer, as well as posters, bookmarks, pencils and more, the organizing team has set their goal at selling $1,500 worth of books and merchandise.
Even if you don’t find a book for yourself, or anyone on your gift-list, you can support the students by purchasing a book to be donated directly for the North Bay Regional Health Centre or the Crisis Centre.
