NU helping community at holiday season

Nipissing University is recognized as an organization committed to building and supporting its community.  That is especially evident each year during the Christmas season; for more than a decade now, the university has helped put a smile on the faces of children and their families by sponsoring them throughThe Children’s Aid Society of the district of Nipissing and Parry Sound sponsorship program.
This year Nipissing sponsored a total of 47 youth and 26 families, representing 15.5 percent of the program’s total donations.  There were 13 offices that participated this year as well as four individuals making for a total of 17 participating teams.

Thanks to support such as this the Children’s Aid Society was able to deliver gifts to 302 youth in our community and more than 90 families were sponsored.
