NUBC hosts virtual Welcome Back Huddle

The Nipissing University Business Community (NUBC) held its annual Welcome Back Huddle on November 3 to welcome new and returning School of Business students to Nipissing. The event, led by NUBC’s President Jennifer Justice and Co-op and Project Coordinator, School of Business Sema Chaudhry, was held virtually this year with close to 30 students, alumni and faculty members in attendance.

Director of the School of Business, Dr. Prasad Ravi, addressed the students to share information about some of the exciting initiatives the School of Business is undertaking in the coming year including the roll out of the BBA Co-op program, expansion of the Post Baccalaureate program and more. Faculty members Dr. Anahita Baregheh, Dr. Denyse Lafrance Horning, Dr. Anupriya Singh and Alisha Miller participated to welcome both new and returning students.

Other highlights from the event include a presentation by Gloria Annable from CPA Ontario on the many virtual events CPA offers and an address from alumnus and past president of NUSU, Markus Hawco.

The event was sponsored by the Canadian Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario). The School of Business thanks everyone who was a part of this successful event.
