Celebrating Pride Month

June is Pride Month, a time to celebrate diversity and acknowledge the history and achievements of LGBTQ2+ communities. Due to the pandemic, North Bay Pride has postponed its typical June celebrations until September, however planning for the fall is already underway, and Nipissing looks forward to taking part and hosting a number of on-campus events. Stay tuned for more details on Pride in September!

Nipissing University’s New Pride Logos

In recognition of this important month, Nipissing University is pleased to unveil its new Pride logos. The logos have been updated to incorporate the colours of the Progress Flag which includes representation for Black, Indigenous, people of colour and trans communities. You can download Nipissing University’s new Pride logos here for use in your email signature, etc.

Pride Toronto Virtual Events

For those looking to celebrate Pride Month virtually, Toronto Pride is hosting a number of online events. More information can be found here.

Safer Spaces Training

Student Development and Services in partnership with the Aids Committee of North Bay and Area, is offering all staff, students and faculty the opportunity to participate in Safer Spaces training. Pride Month is a great time to educate yourself on a variety of diversity and inclusion topics. All Nipissing employees have free access to CCDI’s resources, toolkits, webinars, and reports with their login throughout our annual partnership.
