Campus trails connecting to Trans Canada Trail
My NipissingEfforts to complete the Trans Canada Trail by 2017 to coincide with Canada’s 150th Anniversary of Confederation are moving full steam ahead in north eastern Ontario. In an event on campus last week, Valerie Pringle, Co-Chair of the Trans Canada Trail Foundation announced a contribution of $270,000 from the Foundation to assist with the extension of the Trail from the North Bay Regional Health Centre to the Education Centre and connect the campus trail system. -

One Student’s Purrfect Path to Graduation
At Nipissing University, students often talk about finding their place. For Breanna Mills, a History student graduating this spring, that sense of belonging came from community, hands-on experience, and a small but constant presence by her side in the form of a feline. Her name is April, an orange tabby cat with a keen sense of awareness. April isn’t just a companion to Mills; she’s a trained service animal who has been part of nearly every step of her university journey.
