Nipissing University was glad to work alongside the City of North Bay, the Gathering Place, the Canadian Red Cross and the District Health Unit to provide a warm welcome and safe accommodation for the 100 campers and counsellors who were evacuated from their Temagami camp due to uncontrollable forest fires.

We are pleased to present Senator Yvonne Boyer who was conferred Nipissing’s highest distinction, an honorary degree, during the convocation ceremony in North Bay on June 8, 2018.

​Campus is buzzing this week as incoming students flock to campus for New Student Orientation (NSO) to get a taste of what life will be like as a Laker this fall.
NSO is a one-day orientation program for all new students and their supporters, designed to introduce the services and programs available to support student success, and build connections to the Lakers community.
