The CICAS mission is to facilitate partnerships across academic, cultural, professional, and community divides, but also to mobilize knowledge across disciplinary boundaries as a means of fostering a new generation of informed, ethical, and strategic leaders who will foster critical literacy and education in both the public and private sectors. -

CICAS positions itself as a strategic hub for interdisciplinary, collaborative research and innovation in the Northern Ontario region. -

CICAS is the Centre for Interdisciplinary Collaboration in the Arts and Sciences. Its primary goals are to cultivate collaborative research networks at Nipissing University and to serve as a strategic hub for innovation in the Northern Ontario region. -

Nipissing University sits on the territory of Nipissing First Nation, the territory of the Anishnabek, within lands protected by the Robinson Huron Treaty of 1850.
