Lakers Winter Orientation is designed to prepare you for course selection and registration, review important financial information, introduce you to the programs and services available to you, and connect you with the supports and resources to answer any of your transition questions.

Part 1: Start Here! Online Orientation Modules

Online Sessions are designed to be the first step to take in your New Student Orientation. As you move through each section, you'll gain the tools and knowledge needed to register for courses and take your next steps at Nipissing University. Steps to access are included below. 


Instructions for accessing your New Student Orientation Learning Module below:

  1. Click on the MyNipissing Portal button below and log in with your Nipissing student login information.
  2. Select the "Orientations" button.
  3. Choose the module designed for you - Note: there are specific modules for Distance programs!

Note: If you are an International Student you can access your modules at the button below.

Part 2: January Live Learning Sessions

A NU Day brings together enthusiastic services from all over Nipissing University to talk about how you can get the most out of your semester! Whether you're new to NU or want a new approach to learning, we'll have content you won't find on your regular talk show.
